About Us
Michelle McNevin, MPA, MSW, LCSW 69933
EMDR Certified, TFCBT, MDFT, DBT, CBT
As a proud member and advocate of the LGBTQIA+ community, I celebrate more than 20 years of sobriety after struggling with depression, anxiety and belonging since age 16. As someone who attends therapy for my health and wellness, I understand the strength required to ask for help when things I thought were working for me were working against me.
I am honored to show up for my clients and be the person I needed at ages 10, 15, 18, and 25. In my care, we meet with understanding, dignity and respect – something I have strived for my entire life. When I drank and used [engaged in substance abuse], I was trapped in my body and mind as I hid myself from others.
Seeking recovery, getting sober and breaking out of unhealthy relationship patterns freed my soul. Freedom is so important to me that I tattooed it on my body. My “Freedom” tattoo is a daily reminder of who I am and that I can trust and believe I am worthy to be ME.
Most days, you can find me on my yoga mat or bike, on a long run, painting, or building LEGOs. I use these moments to help me stay grounded and cherish each mile of life.

Healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken, it’s about remembering the resilience that has always been there. That’s the heartbeat of my work.
With years of experience across residential programs, school districts, and county mental health systems, I’ve walked alongside people navigating some of life’s toughest challenges. My practice is grounded in inner child work and Somatic Experiencing (SE™), with a deep awareness of intergenerational trauma and the way it shapes our stories. What inspires me most is witnessing the moment someone reclaims their narrative, reconnects with their body, and embraces their truest self. It’s a reminder of the power we all carry within.
As an embodied first-generation Filipina-American, I honor the wisdom of my family’s immigration journey while creating a space that is open and welcoming to people from all walks of life. My multicultural lens allows me to celebrate the richness of each client’s heritage and create a therapeutic environment that is both culturally attuned and deeply compassionate.
I strive to make therapy a safe and empowering experience. A place where immigrants, communities of color, and anyone who has ever felt “othered” can find belonging, healing, and freedom from toxic cycles. Here, your story matters, your culture is celebrated, and your growth is fully supported. Together, we’ll explore, heal, and uncover the beautiful, resilient composition of who you are.
Core Values
Authentic
I present myself authentically and encourage my clients to do the same. My aim is to foster an environment where clients can enter therapy without shame or judgment, allowing them to explore, learn, and develop in a supportive atmosphere.
Trustworthy
The privacy of my clients is of paramount importance. I respect the trust placed in me when clients share their stories, and I maintain strict confidentiality to honor that trust.
Compassion
Life is challenging. I am dedicated to being fully present for my clients, willing to face difficult experiences together, and collaboratively traverse the healing path.
Acceptance
I approach every client with acceptance and accompany them on their quest to discover their genuine self. It is a deeply meaningful experience to share this sacred space with clients as they navigate their personal journey to healing.
