About Me

This Field Chose Me

As a proud member and advocate of the LGBTQIA+ community, I celebrate more than 20 years of sobriety after struggling with depression, anxiety and belonging since age 16. As someone who attends therapy for my health and wellness, I understand the strength required to ask for help when things I thought were working for me were working against me.

I am honored to show up for my clients and be the person I needed at ages 10, 15, 18, and 25. In my care, we meet with understanding, dignity and respect – something I have strived for my entire life. When I drank and used [engaged in substance abuse], I was trapped in my body and mind as I hid myself from others. Seeking recovery, getting sober and breaking out of unhealthy relationship patterns freed my soul. Freedom is so important to me that I tattooed it on my body. My “Freedom” tattoo is a daily reminder of who I am and that I can trust and believe I am worthy to be ME.

Most days, you can find me on my yoga mat or bike, on a long run, painting, or building LEGOs. I use these moments to help me stay grounded and cherish each mile of life.

CORE VALUES

Authentic

I present myself authentically and encourage my clients to do the same. My aim is to foster an environment where clients can enter therapy without shame or judgment, allowing them to explore, learn, and develop in a supportive atmosphere.

Trustworthy

The privacy of my clients is of paramount importance. I respect the trust placed in me when clients share their stories, and I maintain strict confidentiality to honor that trust.

Compassion

Life is challenging. I am dedicated to being fully present for my clients, willing to face difficult experiences together, and collaboratively traverse the healing path.

Acceptance

I approach every client with acceptance and accompany them on their quest to discover their genuine self. It is a deeply meaningful experience to share this sacred space with clients as they navigate their personal journey to healing.

WALK AND TALK THERAPY

As a runner and therapist, I’ve had profound conversations while moving. Meeting children, teens and young adults outside the office reduces confrontation and allows for a shared space. Walk and talk therapy helps my clients process emotions and escape the confines of sitting face-to-face in an office. It’s one of my preferred methods of therapy and the response clients have is extremely positive.
